COMPANY INFORMATION

Lyon Fry Cadden Insurance Agency, Inc. traces its beginnings in Mobile from the year 1905.  Through a series of mergers and acquisitions over the past 98 years of various insurance agencies, the company has emerged.

Gaylord C. Lyon, Jr., President of the firm, has been employed in the Property and Casualty Insurance business in Mobile for 35 years.  He earned a degree in Economics from the University of Virginia and holds the CPCU designation.

Roland G. Fry, CPCU, has worked in the insurance business over 50 years and is a member of a family which has long been active in the insurance industry in Mobile.

Clyde G. Smith, Jr., Vice President for Marketing in the firm, has been in the insurance business for 35 years, originally as a Territorial Manager for a major insurance company.

Roland G. “Randy” Fry,  Jr. joined the firm in 1984 as a Sales Representative, and also serves as Manager of the Personal Lines Insurance Department.  He has B.S. in Finance from the University of South Alabama and has the CIC designation.

W. E. “Ed” Cadden, a graduate of the University of Alabama, joined the firm in 1988 as a Commercial Lines Representative after 11 years experience in the local agency business.

Erling Riis, III, Vice President, joined the firm in 1990.  He is a graduate of Sewanee and has earned the CPCU and CIC designations.

Cheryl Breland, who joined the firm in 1984, was named Secretary-Treasurer of Lyon Fry Cadden in 1994.

James William “Bill” Goodloe, III joined the firm in 1999.  He is a graduate of the University of Alabama and holds the Accredited Advisor in Insurance and CIC designations.

O. McCrary Otts, IV, a graduate of the University of Alabama with a major in finance, joined the firm in 2002. He holds the CIC designation and is currently working towards to Certified Risk Manager designation.

In addition to the principals, the Agency has twenty highly skilled insurance service representatives. The Agency is fully automated with a state-of-the-art AMS Computer Management System.  Many of the major insurance companies of the United States, as well as numerous other foreign and domestic markets, are represented by the firm.
