Gaylord C. Lyon, Jr.
President, CPCU
Gaylord C. Lyon, Jr., graduated from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville with a B.S. degree in Economics. He began his insurance career in 1973, joining his father at Gaylord Lyon and Co. In 1986, the company merged with the Fry Zelnicker Agency to form the present insurance agency of Lyon Fry Cadden. Gaylord’s areas of expertise include surety, construction, real estate, manufacturing and professional liability.

In 1981, Gaylord received the Chartered Property and Casualty designation (CPCU) from the American Institute of Property and Liability Underwriters. As an active participant in the community, he has served on the boards of St. Paul’s Episcopal School, Wachovia Bank, Mobile Chamber of Commerce, YMCA, Volunteer Mobile and the vestry of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. Gaylord is a past president of the board of directors of both Alta Pointe Health Systems and Mobile County Wildlife and Conservation Association. An avid hunter and fisherman, he also relishes family time with his wife, Janet, and four children at Dauphin Island.

Roland G. “Randy” Fry, Jr.
Vice President, CIC
A University of South Alabama graduate with a B.S. in Finance, Randy Fry entered the insurance industry immediately after college. He quickly distinguished himself, selected as “Young Agent of the Year” by the Alabama Independent Insurance Agents in 1991. He hasn’t looked back since, garnering the industry’s highest certification and numerous long-term clients along the way. Randy has served as president of Mobile Association of Independent Insurance Agents and the Alabama Independent Insurance Agents Young Agents committee chair. He also has been elected to the Daphne City Council currently serving as the district 4 representative.

He and his wife, Elizabeth, have two children, and they are actively involved in Springhill Avenue Temple, where Randy is a past president.  A Baldwin County resident, Randy has been active in Daphne Band Boosters and as a YMCA youth coach. He enjoys golf and family time at the beach.

Ed Cadden
Vice President
For Ed Cadden, insurance runs in the blood. His father made a successful career in the Mobile industry, and since 1977, Ed has forged the same path of distinction. A University of Alabama graduate, Ed brings unmatched experience to clients, particularly in the area of contractors’ insurance and bonds. Additionally, he is certified through the National Association of Surety Bond Producers.

When he’s not in the office, Ed devotes his time to the Mobile West Rotary Club where he has served as a board member for several years. He’s also actively involved with St. Luke’s Episcopal Church. Married with two sons, Ed also enjoys fishing and deer hunting.

Erling Riis, III
Vice President, CPCU, CIC
Erling Riis, III, is well-known for his community leadership and service to others, a legacy which began as an undergraduate at The University of the South. He entered the insurance profession in 1990 and has earned numerous industry certifications and awards since that time. Clients appreciate his expertise in hard-to-place coverages, such as Directors and Officers Liability, Cyber Liability and Media Liability, among others. Erling has served the industry locally and nationally, as past president of the Mobile Association of Independent Insurance Agents and as the Mobile representative to the National Legislative Conference on Insurance Issues.

When he’s not assisting clients, Erling devotes his time to numerous civic organizations. He has held leadership positions in Mobile Area Chamber of Commerce, the Mobile Rotary Club, Touchdown Club of Mobile, Coastal Conservation Association, Mobile Arts and Sports Association and Salvation Army, to name a few. He and his wife, Jeri, have two sons and are active members at Spring Hill Baptist Church.

James William “Bill” Goodloe, III
Vice President, CIC, AAI
A University of Alabama graduate, Bill Goodloe entered the insurance industry in 1999. Like many in the firm, he specializes in contractor's and professional liability. Bill is an avid outdoorsman and is also active in the community, serving as past president for the Mobile Association of Independent Insurance Agents, the Sunrise Rotary Club of Mobile and the local chapter of Coastal Conservation Association. Additionally, Bill has served on boards for the Mobile Area Chamber of Commerce, Associated General Contractors and St. Paul's Episcopal School. He and his wife, Staci, have two boys. They attend Springhill Baptist Church.

O. McCrary Otts, IV
Vice President, CIC, CRM
McCrary Otts, IV, was graduated from the University of Alabama where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Finance. He served as an assistant mutual fund manager in Nashville before returning home to Mobile in 2002 and joining the firm. Since then, he’s delivered outstanding support to clients needing commercial and personal insurance. He holds the Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and Certified Risk Manager (CRM) designations.

His commitment to Mobile is extensive, and includes his service as president and board member for the Mobile Association of Independent Insurance Agents; board member for the Associated Builders & Contractors (ABC); chamber chase team member for the Mobile Chamber of Commerce; committee member for the Home Builder’s Association of Metro Mobile; and executive for the United Way of Southwest Alabama. He and his wife, Elizabeth, have three children and are members of Spring Hill Presbyterian Church.

Spencer "Spence" Monroe Adams, IV
Account Executive
Spence began his insurance career in 1993 when he joined his father's agency, Pickett and Adams Insurance of Mobile, Alabama, where he was raised. He has been influenced by the insurance field his entire life. He served as Life Insurance Vice President from 1993-2001, Executive Vice President 2001-2008, and bought ownership in that agency in 2002. Their agency was purchased by HUB International in 2008. He continued his career with HUB as Vice President of Sales until 2014, when he joined Lyon, Fry, Cadden. His career speciality areas include marine, property, churches, casualty and life insurance.

Spence's community affiliations include being a board member of the Home Builders Assn., Associated Builders and Contractors, Senior Bowl Committee Co-chair and member of Christ United Methodist Church Financial Committee. He enjoys fishing, kayaking and tennis. He and his wife, Anne, have one son.

George G. Oswalt
Account Executive
George G. Oswalt graduated from The University of the South in Sewanee, TN with a degree in English. After school, George moved to Nashville, TN, and spent two years with the Tennessee Wildlife Federation as a fundraiser and marketing coordinator. In 2014, he transitioned careers and began working as a client service specialist for the global insurance company, Willis Towers Watson. He holds both the Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) and the Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designations. He is working towards his Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation.

George is a native Mobilian and is becoming increasingly involved in his home town community. He is a member of Government Street Presbyterian Church. In his spare time, George enjoys being on the water in Gulf Shores or Point Clear with his family.
